Tech Loan Qualification Questionnaire

The Hilo High Technology Department has been receiving questions regarding students borrowing Technology. Before a contract can be made, please use this workflow to determine whether or not a student needs technology or not.

Questions can be directed to Brandon Arakaki

Does the student have access to an electronic device at home?

Is their technology sufficient for electronic distance learning or  have they struggled with the assignments given to them?

Sorry, the student does not qualify for a technology loan.

Does the student have access to WiFi at home?

Is the student attending online classes for a University or College?

Congratulations, the student qualifies for a technology loan. A filled out and signed Technology Responsible Use Form must be on file. Contact Brandon Arakaki for details regarding the loan.

Has the teacher made it known that this special electronic resource absolutely necessary?

The computer tech reviewing this case should contact the teacher directly and ask the details of the electronic resource, and determine if it is absolutely necessary and that there is no possible way if the material can be converted to offline printing.
